IMO, it's a great mix of function (easy digital readout) while still looking appropriate for formal events.

I was looking for a radio controlled watch with a white face with black letters as I think that is the easiest to read for an analog watch. I prefer function over form. I couldn’t find that but came close with this Casio watch. Its face is titanium colored which is still easy to read. It has the advantage over my old watch in that I can read the day & date at a quarter after the hour whereas the old one was covered at that time. It’s amazing how often it’s a quarter after when needing the date. The Casio’s day & date is only partly covered at half past the hour and is a little larger so easier to read. The old watch does have the INDIGLO back light which works better than the single point of light of the Casio. The Casio does have glow in the dark hands but that seems to fade fairly quickly. I got a watch meant for the Japanese market so had to download the English version of the manual which is easier to read on a computer screen anyway. The controls aren’t that intuitive to me so needed the manual. The new Casio’s band is the easiest to add or remove links that I have seen; you can do it in 10 seconds with the provided tool. The watch does sync to the WWVB time signal from Fort Collins, CO as well as other time signals overseas. I live in Colorado about 217 miles away and have had no problems receiving the signal. I had to replace the battery in my old watch several times but the Casio’s solar cell should eliminate that chore. I don’t need the timer functions which complicate the controls but I’m happy with the watch, I still prefer a white face with black numbers and hands. I included a picture of my old watch for comparison with its white face to the Casio’s titanium one. Overall it’s a great watch and would buy again.

The Pros:It looks great, the titanium is incredibly light, and the watch sets up so easily and automatically to radio signals.(The hands automatically set themselves up to the digital clock accurately. You can re-click the 'C' button to reset the time again just in case the hand is off somehow.)The Cons:I wish it had the day and month on the display without clicking the buttons to switch over.(I wanna know first glance.)There's another Casio Wave Ceptor with extra room for that info if you want that first glance advantage. The other con. The backlight is dim for the digital display.(You have to put your thumb over it to reflect enough light on the digital display.) You can see the hands and back fine.During a drive at night you wanna glance at the watch quickly. So it would've been better if it was brighter to avoid looking too long.I say buy it since it's one of the least expensive titanium watches you'll get.

I have an ugly, bulky Casio watch I bought 15 years ago because it was the cheapest one I found at Costco that had a radio. It still works, but I've been using a Fitbit watch, and the battery all of a sudden only lasts a few hours, so I purchased this watch. It is really nice. It is much lighter, thinner, and way better looking. I wouldn't be embarrassed to wear it anywhere. The time it displays is absolutely identical to the time on my old Casio watch. The case says it is "water resistant 5 BAR". The movement is made in Japan, the case in Thailand, and the bracelet in China. Other than a strip on each side of the case from which the buttons protrude, everything is reportedly made of titanium. It was easy to adjust the length of the bracelet with the tool provided. I played with the buttons and managed to change the language from Japanese (I assume) to English and set different time zones for the analog and digital displays. The watch was shipped promptly.

This watch looks good and works very well. I have had a similar Casio in the past, however, and it lost its watertight quality after about a year. I sent it back to Casio and they reworked it for $100. It lasted about a year after that, and then got water in it and stopped. So I bought this one, hoping that the same thing doesn’t happen!
