アストロ買って使ったけど使いにくくてこちらを購入しました。使いやすくて手も汚さず最高です。

BMWバイクで最も使用されるサイズのオイルフィルターとその互換品では、使えない事は無いが、上手く合わないので、漏れ出す直前まで緩めても、回せない事がある。溝形式のフィルターでは、合わない。K&Nのように円形でも滑る。合う場合には、カップを掴んで回せば、広口瓶が外れずに使える。合う場合、急いで緩めるとカップから廃油が溢れるので、ゆっくり垂れるようにすると、熱い油での苦痛が激減。広口瓶は、KTCが購入している、安価な物を幾つか用意しておくと良い。

This tool is a smart design concept; it works great to contain the oil which flows out when the filter is loosened, preventing splashing and minimizing spillage. There are a couple of drawbacks to this tool however; the first is that it can only be used successfully on filters which are mounted in the vertical position - if the filter is mounted on an angle, some of the oil will spill outside of the cup. So the application is limited to use on oil filters which mount vertically to really make effective use of the design. The second drawback is that the top cup section screws onto the lower bottle section, and since it is right hand threaded, as you start spinning the filter counter-clockwise to remove it, the cup section loosens up. It was necessary to stop and tighten the cup a couple of times while removing the filter. This design wasn’t well thought out; it would have made more sense to have left hand threads so the cup won’t loosen up when spinning the filter off.

素手でフィルターを外すとどう頑張っても手がオイルまみれになりますが、これはフィルターレンチで多少緩めてからこの器具をはめて回して外すのですが、本当に手を汚さず外せました。ある程度オイルドレンからオイルを抜いてから使用すると良いと思います。使い終わったらパーツクリーナーを吹いてオイルを飛ばせば何度でも使用できます。キャッチタンク側のボトルは別売りがあるらしいので、そっちを使っても良いかもです。もうちょっと安いとありがたいです。

ジムニーのフィルター交換が厄介そうなので購入しましたが全く役に立ちません。フィルター周りにスペースがないと支えません。

本当に簡単に使用できて汚れません。オイルが熱を持っていても多少緩和されるので作業しやすいですね
