[Summary]Not your average out of box solution such as if you are thinking of just insert the Sim Card and it will automatically work out of the box. Lots of configuration needed to take note however I have highlighted below the very basic ones to get data plan in operational state. (if your looking for something simple, most of the mobile router requires configuration... just use your mobile phone it will be easier to setup ). Once you have configured properly, and understand the basics this router will work out anywhere as long the area have a cell tower + the data plan supports it. The mobile router does get warm but not too extreme that using a hand to handle will have any issues. ( Any 4G/5G mobile WIFI router will get warm, it due to the chipset implemented and how much focus a brand puts to dissipate heat at least the heat similar to mobile phone after pro-long game usage)[Speed of internet]Debatable with no comments to this device performance, why? it really depends on your data plan provider (Telecommunication Provider). The device can support higher bandwidth however your data plan might not have that level of 1:1 user experience similar to your internet fibre broadband. You are surfing the web based on what your data plan provider entitled to you since mostly will tell you 4G speed / 5G speed. How much your 4G / 5G mobile router able to receive also depends if it has better transceiver like your mobile router at home with antennas.[Features]- Very small and light easy to carry during travelling. ( one of the lightest I had within my range of mobile router )- Dual configuration allow SIM card and eSIM profile ( only one configuration can be active at one time )- Auto switching to another configuration whenever you have a condition to meet- Good WIFI configuration menu similar router allow you to configure DHCP/SSID &Password/ and many others to tweak your ultimate mobile for easy use outside.- Web UI / Mobile App [up-to-date], one of the few brands that I have in my list to be able to integrated nicely.- Battery life very reasonable for mixed use (4G/5G) 9-10 hours ( Bring a power bank another 5000mha or above battery rating is good enough to last another 9-10 hours )- Booting the device up is fast and sweet anything last than 1 minute is great do not forget it's a router + sim type which needs time to load and check (One note enabling WIFI 5GHZ ssid will extend your time to use as it will self-validate for 1 minutes as part of Japan regulations to check if the 5GHZ signal use is restricted and affecting their radar)[User experience & Setup]They are easy to setup once you get the hand on it.. giving yourself the patience to figure out and how to configure makes you ready for any travelling experience with eSIM or any SIM card a breeze.Some key basics setup1. I do recommend to change the WIFI SSID to something you like. ( the default is good but need stronger password )2. Get yourself an apple account that can access to Japan App Store/ Android app available in many places for side load to install their mobile application. [This will make life easier for you to tweak and setup while travelling]3. Esim does not really a WIFI available to add in a manual Profile activation code. It will only get active once it gets connected to a known APN.4. APN configuration and enable Data Roaming if required by telecom data plan. (APN is very important to configure out of all 4g/5g mobile router I had, all of them needed this to work. [Your mobile phone would also need this if you are using another country sim-card].5. Reboot the router to ensure configuration loaded properly.[Mobile 4G/5G router to keep firmware / mobile app up-to-date]I bought many brands of mobile router like Huawei/ZTE/NETGEAR and none of them keeps their focus on user experience and bug fix consistency. Updating a router, some supported a few months while some none at after their first release of their product to the market. Paying hundred of dollars for a device similar to your home router, we all expects a constant release of patches and any new features to keep the stability, security of the product during user experience. Another important factor these company sell these device knows its going to be mobile, to be use in different countries and yet missed that any bug exists on the router may affect usability and worst security concern.About Fujisoft it’s the first brand I had seen to be responsible to discontinued a firmware update release when they screw up, they even announced it in detail on their website/ mobile application notification to provide alternative solution and preventing other customers from using that faulty firmware. This level of after sales support is excellent.They provide timely update to release stability patches for 4G/5G communication and the latest was 2024/8/7 after they announced the faulty version they keep track and be responsible to provide updates.You may be thinking what is there to update, when your iPhone gets update it will contain modem firmware updates from third party manufacturer hence your iPhone will have the latest version to work well with telecom communication and other technical stuff. Similarly these brands should think like Fujisoft to constantly provide updates to the modem to ensure stability, security and tweaks to make the modem more efficient.[To the Fujisoft]I would like to thank you for making this product. The device was made with a lot of thoughts and is very precious like a gem which is so small, light and shine with features similar to a router. Please continue to make good product and you have my support. Most important to keep your product updated as well.

とても便利なのですが、操作や仕様、機能や名称が少し特殊に感じます。普段こういう製品のマニュアルはあまり読まず、直観的に操作できるものと思っていたので、最低限自分が利用する部分以外読んでいなかったのですが、この製品に関しては、しっかり読むことをお勧めします。最初、やたらと電池が消費して、充電した後置いておいたところ、翌日には電池が空になっている状態が続き、電池の初期不良を疑っていたところ、2週間くらいして、自分の使い方が間違っていたことに気が付きました。それまで、電源ボタンを長押しして「電源OFF」し、電源を切ったつもりだったのですが、これは電池を消費する仕様で、この電源OFF以外に「完全電源OFF」というものがありました。（本体左のロックボタン＋電源ボタンを同時に長押し）これに気づくまで、本当にちょくちょく電池を確認・充電する必要があったため、ハズレな製品と思ってました。言葉的なものですが、普通「電源OFF」したのに、24時間で電池が空になるとは思わないし、「完全電源OFF」なんて機能があるとは思わないと思うのですが…確かに電池消費するとマニュアルに記載されているので、しっかり読まずに利用していた自分が悪いのですが、それなら電源OFFではなく「スタンバイ」とか「スリープ」とか、そういった呼び方にしてくれれば誤解しなかったと思います。なので、直観的に操作できないため、評価は減点としています。

楽天モバイルで、使用ですが、スマホより速度倍以上出ます、スマホなら100Mなら、これは200Mでます。

タッチパネルではないので本体での設定はとてもまどろっこしいそれでも設定できて仕舞えば動作はバッチリと思って使っていたんですが…この電池の持たなさはなんとしたことか、数時間放置してたらバッテリーアウト…モバイルバッテリーは必須です。電源を切っても一晩で一割も減ってるので外部電源なしで使うのはほぼ不可能です。

（環境）docomo5G通信・物理SIM・Apple端末・Bose製品（本機）据え置きモードで使用今のところ特段、途中で通信が途切れる、バッテリーが熱くなる、ことはありません。非常に快適です。【AirPlay◎】スピーカー等の対応機器でAirPlay 2ができます。設定ツール＞無線LAN(Wi-Fi)/USB＞プライバシーセパレータ（端末間のアクセス禁止）＞無効【MTU値】デバイスの値とルーターの値を合わせると通信速度が速くなります。設定ツール＞モバイルネットワーク＞MTU値→1500【ACアダプタ】Type-Cケーブルは付いてきますが、ACアダプタは同梱されていません。メーカー推奨：９V=２A（USB−C　PD対応）18Wが理想ですが、私は無かったのでApple純正の20Wを使って問題ありません。【通信速度】VPN・ノートン・セキュリティのせいか、なぜかiPhoneやiPadのモバイルデータ通信よりもこのWi-Fiのほうが速い。ベストエフォート型なので当然変動しますが、だいたいデータ通信2.5Mbps→25Mbpsへ高速化。ちなみに過去15年以上、WiMAX等で何台もモバイルルーターを使用し続けてきましたが、結論、今の環境が一番速くて、途切れず、バッテリーが熱くなることもなく、安定して使いやすいです。

車で運転中に利用する場合なども想定したモードをセレクトすることができます。良い商品だと思います。

今まで楽天最強プランで楽天WiFiPocket2cを使用していましたが、速度が遅すぎるでこちらの商品を購入しました。しかし時々電波はMAXなのにインターネットが繋がらなかったり、速度がものすごく遅い時があります。原因が楽天なのか端末の問題なのかは分かりませんがこれで4万なのかと思ってしまいました。
