40年以上前に父がこれを使っていて、これが一番使いやすいと思っていました。あれから私もコーヒーの味がわかるようになりｗ、なんと同じものがまだ売られていると知り、すぐ買いました。やはりこれが一番いいです。縦回転で安定させやすいし、自重も結構あるから更に良いです。一点だけ、弾いた豆を受ける木箱がイマイチなのも当時のままｗ、安定しないので輪ゴムで留めています。難点はこれくらいでしょうか。

手動の横に回すものは過去に使用していたのですが、本体の重量があまりなく、本体をおさえる手の握力がいるのがしんどく、古くなったのもあり廃棄しました。次に買った電動ミルはすごく楽だったけど10回も使わないうちにボタン操作不能になり、今回こちらの商品に辿り着きました。本体の重さがかなりあるので楽に回せますが、豆を挽くのに横に回すものより時間がかかる気がします。豆が引っかかりにくいのかな？ゴリゴリと削る感覚ではないです。豆調整ハンドルはあまり違いがよくわからないです。25g挽いてみたら、約300回転必要でした。

当製品はデザインが最高というだけでなく、珈琲豆の香りも楽しめることが分かりました。珈琲豆はミルで砕いているときが一番良い香りがしますが、当製品で上蓋を開けて珈琲豆を砕くと、粉砕されているときの香りが上に上るので、特に香りを楽しめます。

グラインドの輪が縦なので肩の動きに適しているので楽に回せます。実際に手先を空中で縦と横に回してみるとわかるでしょう。

以前はコーヒーと言えば挽いた粉を購入して居ましたが家族がとても欲しがり高価でしたが思い切って購入しました。毎朝使っています。電動より静電気が起きないので安心して使えます。手間というより美味しいコーヒーを飲みたい一心でしょうか、スーパーの安い豆でも美味しく飲めるようになりました。勿論ペーパーのドリップで漉します。朝早い時は前夜に挽いて密封容器に保存します。挽き置きはしません。

見た目は想像通りで素敵です！ただ、挽き方の調節の仕方がわからなくて困っています。中古なので仕方ないのでしょうが、、、(T_T)

実物を見てからの購入だったので、見た目は納得済でした。最初に見た時の印象は思ってたより小さい…です。縦に回して引くミルの方が、力をかけずに済むので引きやすいです。豆の引き具合の評判が良かったので、こちらにしました。粒の大きさは問題無しです。ただ、1杯目は、引き出しの木の香りが豆に移ってしまい、変な味になってしまいました。2杯目はそこまで感じず…木の匂いが飛ぶまで、コーヒーの粉を入れっぱなしにして放置してます。大切にしようと思います。

When it arrived I was surprised at the weight of the box. Upon opening it I was blown away by what I saw. The quality and workmanship exceeded all expectations. Cast iron isn’t the easiest metal to cast. This thing is free from casting flaws. Now on to performance. I have two other manual coffee grinders. Same coffee beans, same amount of grounds, roughly the same grind. Honestly the difference is unbelievable. No sludge at the bottom of the cup. I can’t say enough good things about it. Only complaint, English instructions. I love it and would recommend it with a clear conscience.

I was very hesitant in making this purchase for a coffee grinder at this price point. However, after viewing a youtube video of a user dismantling and reassembling this Kalita coffee grinder, I was able to see the sturdy steel blades, the solid cast iron frame, and each individual parts; and decided to make the purchase. I am absolutely thrilled I did, since days before, I purchase a different brand, less expensive coffee grinder that cracked on first-use. This Kalita coffee grinder is heavy, very well-made; and the cast iron is beautifully painted in a lovely matte-black. The drawer space is surprisingly plentiful and the whole piece sits upon a non-slip rubber, suede-like material. This coffee grinder was well-packaged and ready for use. No assembly needed!

It took forever to grind enough for a pot of coffee. The bean intake wasn’t big enough and the grind particle size was too small.
