I originally purchased this for my wife when she received her 3rd Gen iPad Pro. She liked the idea of a case and having a keyboard as well. As this is two items, I will review separately:Case: I am very pleased with the case and it's apparent durability. The iPad was fairly easy to insert into the case and feels pretty secure in that it won't slip back out. The case folds over easily and does not show any weakening in the fold creases like many other cases start to after a few uses. Even though this case only fits the 3rd gen iPad (2018), there are slots in the case for 1st gen Apple pencil. This is okay as the 2nd Gen pencil easily fits securely into this slot for storage. Note: The pencil will not charge in this location. There is an indent at the top of the case and the pencil will easily sit there and charge. The magnetic strength of through the case is pretty strong and the pencil will not fall off on its own. Finally, as mentioned, the case does not have an auto-sleep ability to put the iPad to sleep when closed. This will need to be set up manually with the System Settings but is fairly easy to do and does not in any way take away from the other features of the case.Keyboard: I was kind of surprised with the keyboard when we first received it. It seems more durable than other mobile keyboards I have previously used and cost way more. The keyboard is a QWERTY keyboard and easy to use, even for those not tech savvy. There are 3 sections for lighting and each one can be set to the same or different colors. As noted in the description, the keyboard uses Bluetooth v3.0. This is not the latest but should be sufficient for most people and delays will be barely noticeable unless you are typing over 100wpm. I state this because of the negative reviews I saw in regards to this and want to clarify that most people will barely notice, if at all, any delay when typing. Initial connection was quick and easy and, like the lights, the keys are clearly marked for the purpose. The only negative thing I can say about the keyboard is the instructions may not be clear enough and are pretty basic. This will be okay for most people, but if you are not familiar with pairing devices or function keys, there may be some confusion.Overall: I am extremely pleased with the quality and value of the case and keyboard. I have been in the IT industry for over 20 years, so this can sometimes be hard to do. If you are looking for a nice, durable, and easy to use case/keyboard combo but do not want to spend a ton of money for similar products, I would highly recommend this one. In fact, I ended up purchasing a second one for my new iPad.

I honestly thought the price was wrong. I’ve paid similar prices in the past for a case alone. The case is very good quality and the keyboard is top quality. Connectivity was so easy. Effectively I’ve turned my iPad into a laptop. Love it.

Bad: The magnetic feature does not hold the iPad into the groove above the keyboard so it flops around and falls out very easily (unlike other keyboards). This makes no sense since a magnet is used at the base of the screen normally to stop the iPad from sliding around on other models.Bad: It uses a micro-USB cable to charge. WTF? The iPad uses USB-C, so now you have to have different charger cables on hand to charge the iPad and the keyboard. Why not USB-C?Bad: Bluetooth 3.0 - interferes with other Bluetooth and wifi and slows down typing when there is a lot of interference.Bad: The key next to the space bar is ALT not COMMAND. If you’re used to using keyboard shortcuts (like Command-C for copy, or Command-Space for Search with Spotlight) then you’ll be constantly hitting the wrong key, a bit like switching to Windows if you’re used to Mac.Good: the backlighting is nice and you can see what you’re doing in low light. The keys have a reasonable resistance and action too, if you’re a hard/fast typed like me.Overall: the lack of magnetic fastening for the iPad itself makes me need to return it. I don’t know if my unit is faulty and they forgot but I don’t understand how this can have so many positive reviews if the iPad will fall out as soon as you move it slightly on your lap or table.

I love this keyboard! After purchasing my iPad I waited to see if I really needed the keyboard, but because this device is so versatile I found myself using it for work more and more. I stumbled upon this keyboard and I am very happy with the purchase. Having a case that fits the keyboard perfectly was a selling point for my, as well was the backlight; both were definitely worth the splurge. I love having the function and arrow keys accessible on a keyboard instead of having to use the touchscreen or command center and pause my momentum. When I initially opened the packaging I noticed the keyboard was very light but once it connected to the case , everything felt sturdy. I can even carry my Apple Pencil. If you intend on purchasing the pink case, know that it has a shimmer. Also, when I first hooked my iPad into the case it lifted the corners of my screen protector, as you may be able to see in the photos. It also takes up a bit of space; it is as wide as my MacBook Pro is long. Not major deal breakers if you ask me, but do with that information what you will.
