The backrest of the chair is misaligned and tilted to one side. This defect causes discomfort and an unbalanced feeling when sitting, making it impossible to use the chair as intended.I found several similar cases when I did search on the internet. I will return it.

Made in MalaysiaのAPモデルでした。

I like the chair and all but when I found out it is made in Malaysia I was QUITE disappointed. Let's not forget the amount of money this chair costs, and it is a premium product. I thought it was made in the U.S. They should mention it on the website/amazon in much more clearer way.Now to talk about ergonomics: I am 188cm tall and I find it okay and overall comfy, but to be honest it is probably not worth the price it costs for very tall people like me.. My back feels okay, but surely not amazing as it should with such chair.4/5.

My office has had lots of Steelcase Leap chairs for years, so I am very familiar with them. Many years ago, we tested several quality office chairs, and the Leap got my vote over all the others. At the start of the pandemic, like many others, I started working from home almost exclusively. I bought a cheap $150 office chair at the time and suffered through the discomfort and back problems that came with it. More recently, I tried "upgrading" to a $300 office chair, which proved to be even worse, giving me a consistent neck ache due to poor posture that was impossible to correct.I looked at a lot of different options but kept coming back to the conclusion that anything less than a Leap would just mean a new set of problems. There are so many aspects of a chair that can go wrong -- lumbar support that is too far forward or non-adjustable, useless neck supports, uncomfortable arm supports stuck in place, hard seats, seat backs that don't come up far enough to sit straight, crappy wheels, the list goes on and I simply don't feel confident being able to judge all of those things especially while looking at chairs online given my experiences thus far. Even when I have tried to test them in-store, I have ended up with problems I didn't anticipate until I was actually using the chair over a period of time. The Leap is excellent in every respect. The cost is definitely high to pay out of your own funds for a home office, but the way I see it now, if you sit all day for your job, you can either pay the cost of that in the form of a nice office chair, or in the form of lots of visits to the doctor/physical therapist/chiropractor/etc. (been there, done that). Do yourself a favor and spend the money preventing those problems instead.

As soon as I sat on this chair, I knew it was "the one". Love at first sight but for a piece of furniture 🙂 The first thing I noticed about it was that it's actually smaller than a lot of the "executive" high-back chairs I've sat on. Those were very uncomfortable, and not designed for people of my size (I'm 5 ft 8, 140 lbs). Here are the most important design features for me:1) The seat is depth-adjustable. I have relatively short thighs. I like that I can adjust the seat so that my back is nestled against the seat back and my legs still fall off the seat front at a right angle.2) The arms are adjustable and yet not too loose: I thought this would not be a big deal, but this is turning out to be one of my favorite features. The arms can be lowered so you can pull the chair right up under the desk allowing you to get closer to your computer, if you want. They can be raised if you need support for your elbows. My old chair had arm rests that were far too wide basically making them useless.3) There is a bewildering array of levers to adjust the chair and I thought this would be intimidating. However, every knob and lever is actually labeled so you know exactly what it does. Within a few minutes I knew how to adjust my chair.4) I don't like mesh back chairs so I chose the Steelcase Leap over chairs like the Aeron. If you are spending an absurd amount of time in front of a computer because of working from home, do yourself a favor and buy a decent chair. Your body will thank you for it. The Steelcase Leap is expensive (when new, it's over $900) but I bought mine used and refurbished from TE Seating, at Amazon Marketplace. They delivered the chair within a week, fully assembled. It comes in a large box and it's very heavy so bear that in mind - you may need someone to help you bring it inside.

I thought it was supposed to arrive assembled. Not exactly. No biggie, didn’t take long. I probably assembled it wrong because the height won’t go back up. Not a problem for me, I’m 4’ 10” and lowest height is what I use.I chose this because Steelcase makes great office chairs and this model has the seat depth adjustment I have been wanting. Needing a second chair for my office after moving my crafting area to another room prompted me to order a new one based on features instead of cost. Having said that, I was happy for a “like-new” option that saved $800 over the cost of brand new.My other chair in a relatively inexpensive one purchased at an office supply store a few years before COVID. That is fine when I am crafting and don’t lean back much. For long hours at the computer, I am thrilled to have lumbar support without adding a pillow behind me.I also love that the arms are so adjustable. Should have done this ages ago.

I work from home and was using a standard office chair that I had bought years ago for occasional use. Over time, I found that I was shifting position in my chair a lot and the seat wasn't comfortable for a full 8+ hours. I also found that my neck started to hurt toward the end of the day. I decided to buy the Steelcase Leap V2 chair because it was top-ranked and was the most adjustable variant of the recommended options. I had no way to test it in person, so this was important to me. I decided to buy from Amazon because the price was substantially lower than other outlets, which actually concerned me. I was concerned the chair might be refurbished (not new), but my concerns were unwarranted. The chair arrived and it is brand new. It arrived in an official Steelcase box, preassembled, with the original plastic/shipping protection. My initial experience with the chair has been very good. The first day did take a little getting used to. I was surprised to find that my back ached and my sides hurt a little. I presume it was because the chair was forcing me to sit properly, engaging my core muscles properly versus my old chair. Fortunately, the aches went away after the first day and since then, I find that I no longer get any neck or back pain. I have had the chair for about 2 months now and I no longer think about chair comfort, which means it works! Had I the chance to do it over, I'd buy it again. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has a job that requires them to sit for extended periods of time.

Had the chair for a week. Easy to set adjustments while watching online videos. Was unsure until adjusted the seat pan, then, Ta-Da! Works well. Chair comes completely assembled (don't know why there's a choice to add an "assembly" option sometimes??) and the packaging protects well against shipping damage and is all cardboard (recyclable) and plastic sheet cover. Best to have two people to lift out of the box.Expensive, yes, but well designed, comfortable, and should hold up for years and years. Only complaint is with the totally adjustable arms. Unlike all of the other settings, the arms don't lock in place after adjusting, so if you grab the arm rest to get up or move the chair, the arm rest moves. Not a big deal, but a minor annoyance. The reviews for this chair contain reviews for both new and refurb chairs. Make sure you're selecting which you want. Reviews on refurb chairs have been mixed. The price for the chair I bought changed almost daily. Pick the price point you're willing to pay and jump when it hits that point. The Honey browser extension (and others) is helpful to track price history. I'm always price sensitive, but willing to pay for a quality product, which this is. I bought one for my wife too and she's equally happy with it!
