We've recently upgraded our classrooms with these projectors, but I've been really disappointed with their performance. First of all, I have to give credit to their design. It is really convenient having it mounted above the chalkboard and Benning able to slide it left and right easily and have the Apple TV installed on trip of it.However, I think this is their selling point because of you actually use the projector, they're pretty terrible for Japanese classrooms. First there's no way the brightness is actually anywhere near their quoted lumens. These projectors are barely able to be seen on a chalkboard or whiteboard with the curtains closed and lights off unless the content is brightly colored. Videos or anything needing contrast easily disappears with this projector. We've had to buy an expensive special movie screen magnetic sheet to use this projector for video content.The built in speaker is terrible. It's probably intended for simple beeps and sound effects from PPT presentations, but voices get completely garbled and max out the speakers capability because we have to run them at max volume for the back of the classroom to be able to hear video content.I can't recommend using these in classrooms with chalkboards as they just aren't bright enough. They also vacuum chalk dust from the air and the filters get clogged very easily. These projectors are much better suited for a breakout room or small office presentations using a whiteboard.
