I personally did a lot of research before deciding on this camera. It is very effective produces very clear picture and takes good photos and videos. It's excellent for video conferencing and I sit far back and I find that the microphone is still adequate and people can hear me easily. At the budget end of the scale I find this to be a very satisfactory desktop cam.
