旦那にお誕生のお祝いに購入しましたがとても喜んでました。滑らかさもよいとのこと。手に持ってもなじむとのこと。ただ、女性には重いと感じられるかもしれませんね。

カリカリと紙を走る感じは材質の硬さと柔軟性の両立という表現の難しい初めて使った万年筆であり、重さ、しなやかさ、強靭の要素が感じられます。ペン先が金よりも鉄の良さが初めて感じられた万年筆であり一生物かなと思える一品になりました。使い続けていけばいくほどいい関係になれる本物の万年筆だと断言します。

樹脂軸とは明らかに違う重みを感じられます。しかし、決して重いと感じるほどではなく、手に心地よい適度な重さで、手にするだけで気持ちが高まってきます。書き味も非常によく、線の強弱やインクの濃淡、紙をすべる音など様々な要素で万年筆の醍醐味を楽しませてくれます。しかし、重さのバランスに少し不満があります。書く際にキャップを尻につけると、キャップの重さで尻の側が重くなり、ペン先が浮き上がります。少し力を入れるだけで問題ないほどで、金属軸で重いのだからその分だけ力が必要なのは当たり前とも思えるのですが、全体として、心地よい重さでありながら実用面で支障の出ない絶妙な重さに調整されているのに、その重さの偏りまでは配慮されなかったのが非常に残念です。書く際にキャップをつけなければ、ほとんど力を入れずに好みの角度を保てるほどには軽いので、キャップをつけずに使用すれば、私にはまったく不満はありません。手が大きめの私でも、ねじのすぐ後ろくらいまでなら長めに持っても手の中に入ってしまう事はありませんが、もっと長く持ちたい人はキャップをつけないときちんと持てないかもしれません。

想像以上に滑りが良く書きやすい。ずっと使っていたくなる万年筆です。

数年前のファースト万年筆がエラボーの細字でした。その時は中字は太すぎる！と思っていて、店頭で試し書きし書き味に感動して細字を購入したのですが、それからセーラーのプロフェッショナルギア(中細、中字)やペリカンのM600(細字)等にも手を出し、今では中字のぬらぬら感に病みつきに。この度Amazonのレビューや動画を見てエラボーの中字がとても滑らかな書き心地で、エラボーの細字とは全くの別物だという意見をちらほらと見かけました。思い切ってこちらで購入しましたが、1文字目から期待していた以上に潤沢なインクフローで非常に滑らかな書き味です。ペン先のしなり方も含めて、本当に細字とは全くの別物です。私の持っているペンの中で例えるならばスーべレーンの細字が1番近い書き味かな…。スーべレーンの細字よりも字は太いと思いますが。ただ、潤沢過ぎるので細くて小さい字を書くのには向いていないでしょう。実際に書いてみて、7mmのルーズリーフでギリギリかなあと感じています。6mm幅だと画数の多い漢字は潰れてしまうかも。細かい場所にも綺麗な字を、と考えるなら細字を購入した方が良いです。他のメーカーの中字にも言えることかもしれませんが、罫線に従うよりも無地やドット地のノートに大きめに伸び伸びと書くと大変気持ち良いペンだと思います。やや暗いですが写真を付けているので字幅の参考にしてみて下さい。筆圧はそれ程かけずに書いているので、これでも細めに書いている方だと思います(スーべレーンにはインクを入れていなかったので比較できていません)また、注文してからの発送が迅速で外箱も含めて傷無く届けてくれました。配送中の揺れによる本体へのダメージを気遣ってか、本体にプチプチの緩衝材を巻いて保護してくれていました。以前に店頭で買った時には巻かれていなかったので、これはこの業者さんが配慮してくれたのだなと分かりました。丁寧な心遣いだと感じます。本体の不具合も無く、ペンの使い心地と合わせ総じて大変満足しています。これからずっと大切に使っていきたいです。

ブラウンを購入しましたが、写真より、明るいブラウンです。カスタム系のFA(フォルカン)とは違う書き味です。まだ書き始めなので、馴染んでいない点もありますが、ハネ、トメ等、日本語ならではの表現が出来る事が楽しいです。金属軸を選び正解でした、高級感もあり、カスタムと並べても見劣りしません、長く使えそうです。値上げの報を聞き、背中を押される形での購入ですが、買って良かったです。

当方左利きですが、この万年筆を使うと 擦れや引っ掻き傷が残ってしまい、満足に物書きができません。軸の重厚さ、首軸の握りやすさ、表現力、正確性、高級感、どれを取っても完璧と言わざるを得ず、就中ニブの繊細で鷹のくちばしのような美しい湾曲には溜め息を漏らしてしまう程ですが、それを――パイロット社創業以来のこの傑作を――左利きが誰一人とて実用するに能わないというこの事実は、遺憾この上ありません。 私は LAMY 2000 L01-EF 並びに LAMY L17-EF も所持しておりますが、これらの万年筆では左手でも擦れること無くスムーズに筆記することが出来ております。 それ故「万年筆は総じて右利き用」という暗黙の了解はもはや通用せず、商品が右利き用であるならそれをしっかり明記すべきです。以上、今後の「左利き用」発売の期待も込めて、“左寄り” のレビューとさせて頂きます。

私は筆圧が強い方なので、ペン先がユラユラする感覚があり、慣れるまで時間がかかりました。

I believe fountain pens with ink are not meant for simple note-taking; instead, they are designed for art: for elegant drawings, for writing letters that will be cherished and reread by the recipient, for greetings on postcards, inscriptions in gifted books, certificates, and honorary documents, as well as for autographs. At least, that’s my opinion, and that’s why I have several of them for such purposes.I wanted a sophisticated fountain pen for these occasions. I also enjoy the unique and unconventional approaches that Pilot incorporates into their products. I already own some interesting models, like the Pilot Capless with a retractable nib, and I am very pleased with them!Additionally, I wanted a pen directly from Japan—it undoubtedly adds a special charm and enhances the joy of writing refined texts.And so, for a quite reasonable price (considering that some fountain pens can be incredibly expensive), I got this model: the Pilot Elabo/Black with a Smooth Extra Fine Nib. I am very satisfied! The nib, shaped like a falcon’s beak, delivers ink perfectly and evenly, without a single interruption. The lines are exceptionally neat, and it’s noticeable right away. Furthermore, when writing, you definitely feel some kind of feedback from this flexible nib—it “responds” to the pressure, which also affects the thickness of the lines.This last feature requires some practice for those who have only used pens with rigid nibs before. But mastering such a tool is definitely worth it, as it allows you to control the thickness of the lines, unlocking new creative possibilities! However, the nib is not entirely flexible. So, even if you don’t like flexible nibs, this one is still for you.Personally, I prefer the thinnest lines for writing. With this pen, you can draw lines so fine that I don’t think any ballpoint pen can match the thinness and smoothness of the lines produced by this SEF nib. So, this purchase was definitely not in vain—I’m very satisfied!That said, a pen like this does come with a certain downside: it would be a real shame to accidentally drop it on the floor, scratch it, or use it to the point of heavy wear. However, the latter might be an unnecessary concern, as I’ve heard that this nib is quite durable and should remain in excellent condition even after writing a mountain of text.So, great item! Must have! Highly recommend!

Very fine lines. Smooth flow of ink. It gives a bit scratchy sound when write. It takes me a while to get use to use it when write almost with no pressure at tip. Don't worry, ink still flows very smoothly without railing.

My order arrived about a week ahead of time, which is awesome, because I’ve been looking forward to using this pen. I’m not a regular flex pen user and the last (and actually first) flex fountain pen I purchased was Noodler’s Triple Tail. Admittedly, the Pilot Elabo’s nib is not as soft as I expected and the extent I need to exert pressure and feel the tines’ scratch on paper feel quite similar to the Noodler’s triple tail. Still, Elabo’s ink flow is way more stable and reliable (and in a fine line, which I like, and I ordered the extra fine), which is expected because it’s more than twice the price of triple tail. The brass body looks fabulous. This pen is now among my favorite fountain pens.

The Pilot Elabo Pen writes nicely. Mine has a SEF Nib so there is even some variation in the line width.
